The John Nimmo Hall
The Board of Directors of the Community Hall have named Hall 2 The John Nimmo Hall. This is in recognition of the sterling work that John did in bringing to fruition, a dream he had of turning a run down church hall into an up to date venue, that is now the envy of many a village.

The short naming ceremony took place on Tuesday 3rd May. John reminded everyone that he could not have done this without the help of Tom Dalgleish and of course his wonderful wife Belle, who had to put up with all his sleepless nights and prolonged rants.

Thank you John, you deserve it.

Rugby Stars
Two Symington Primary boys, Craig Baird and Callum Steel were taking part in a rugby tournament in Northern Ireland. I have some great news from the tournament. The boys played 3 matches and won all 3 of them, congratulations boys you truly deserve it for all the hard work. A special thank you must go to MARR RFC for the entire organisation. I also believe that the parents of all the boys had a great time sampling the local brew and singing and dancing the night away when the boys were in bed recovering. Symington Rugby Stars!
